Beginning Dutch Oven cooking at Washoe Lake State Park on August 28

Nevada State Parks rangers will help participants experience this delicious way of preparing meals using cast iron pots.
WHAT: Beginning Dutch oven cooking
WHEN: Saturday, August 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
WHERE: Participants and tasters will meet at the large group-use area at Washoe Lake State Park. The park is located off U.S. 395 on East Lake Boulevard on the southeast corner of Washoe Lake.
WHO: The public is invited to learn how to cook using a Dutch oven. All food will be provided. Participants are asked to please bring their own drinks. The cooking event is limited to 35 participants, so call 775-687-4319 to reserve a space.
COST: There is no charge for this program. There is a $7.00 per vehicle entrance fee and Nevada residents receive a $2.00 discount.
