Spring Mountain Ranch State Park in Blue Diamond, Nevada.

BLUE DIAMOND, Nev. – Take a step back in time and discover the pioneer era with live music, spinning and weaving demonstrations, gold panning, black powder rifle shooting and candle dipping, while enjoying the taste and aromas of authentic Dutch-oven cooking at the annual Pioneer Day.

WHAT: Pioneer Days

WHEN: Saturday September 24, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

WHERE: Spring Mountain Ranch is open from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is located 15 miles west of Las Vegas via Charleston Blvd within the Red Rock National Conservation Area.

WHO: The event is open to the public.

COST:  Entrance fees to the park include all of the featured program activities. Entrance fees are $7.00 for Nevada residents or $9.00 for non-residents.
