Nevada Natural Resources -- Status Report
The Status Report is the Department's first attempt to describe the state of Nevada's natural resources in a single, comprehensive report. One objective is to add to people's awareness of the current condition of environmental, biological, water, land, and recreation resources, as well as their management and use.
Natural Resource Issue Topics and Relative Importance Ranking The NRP Working Group prepared general issue topics and ranked the topics according to the intensity of interest throughout the state, based upon input gathered from nine public workshops and from the state multi-agency issue survey.
Guide to Nevada State Statutes for Natural Resources Conservation The Natural Resources Statutes Guide is an inventory and index of Nevada Revised Statutes that contain policies, administrative authorities, and state agency responsibilities for the regulation, planning, and management of natural resources in Nevada
Natural Resource Plan Brochure -- January 2001 Update The NRP Working Group began implementing the planning process in 1999. This update brochure was mailed to over 1000 people to keep stakeholders informed of plan activities, work products, and process changes. The brochure contains a useful chart of the Basic NRP
Plan Guidelines (1999) for the NRP Process The NRP goals, objectives, and guiding principles are contained in the Plan Guidelines. Report on Public Workshop Comments on Natural Resource Issues Between May and July 2000, the NRP Working Group conducted nine workshops to learn about viewpoints from communities throughout Nevada on natural resource issues and planning. The comments cover urban open space, biodiversity, rangeland health, watershed planning, invasive species, forest and woodland health, recreation and more.
Natural Resource Issues from the State Technical Working Group Survey The Divisions within the Nevada Department of Conservation, the Department of Agriculture, and the Division of Mineral were asked to list and rank natural resources issues important to them. This tabulation of identified issues and composite scores, with public workshop comments, will provide direction to the issues that will be addressed in the NRP process
