NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDERS FOR HYDROGRAPHIC BASINS WITHIN MINERAL, ESMERALDA, LYON, AND CHURCHILL COUNTIES
The State Engineer will hold a public hearing, pursuant to NRS 534.030, on proposed orders to designate the Alkali Valley-Northern Part (111A), Alkali Valley-Southern Part (111B), and Walker Lake Valley-Schurz Subarea (110A) Hydrographic Basins and the proposed orders to designate, establish preferred use, and curtail new appropriations within the Teels Marsh Valley (114), Queen Valley (116), East Walker Area (109), and Walker Lake Valley-Lake Subarea (110B) Hydrographic Basins. Pursuant to NRS 534.030(2)(b), the hearing may be held in the county where the major portion of the basin lies.
The public hearing will be held to provide notice and to take testimony on the proposed orders. The hearing is open to the public and will convene at:
1:00 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2020

Mandates issued pursuant to the Declaration of Emergency on March 12, 2020, in response to COVID-19, and in effect at the time of the public hearing, will be followed.
Oral testimony will be accepted during the hearing. Written testimony will be accepted until Monday, November 2, 2020, and may be mailed to the Nevada Division of Water Resources at the above address.
The public is encouraged to read the proposed orders. The proposed orders may be obtained from the Nevada Division of Water Resources website at http://www.water.nv.gov, or by contacting the Division at 901 S. A Public Notice of Hearing will be published in the legal section once per week for the weeks of September 14, 2020, and September 21, 2020, of: the Independence News, a newspaper of general circulation in Mineral County; Tonopah Times, a newspaper of general circulation in Esmeralda County; Lyon County News Leader, a newspaper of general circulation in Lyon County; and the Lahontan Valley News, a newspaper of general circulation in Churchill County.
