NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDERS FOR HYDROGRAPHIC BASINS WITHIN PERSHING AND CHURCHILL COUNTIES

The State Engineer will hold a public hearing, pursuant to NRS 534.030, on a proposed order to designate the Granite Springs Valley Hydrographic Basin (078), located within Pershing and Churchill Counties and a proposed order to designate, establish preferred use, and curtail new appropriations within the Kumiva Valley Hydrographic Basin (079), located within Pershing County. Pursuant to NRS 534.030(2)(b), the hearing may be held in the county where the major portion of the basin lies.

The public hearing will be held to provide notice and to take testimony on the proposed orders. The hearing is open to the public and will convene at 

10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 15, 2020

Mandates issued pursuant to the Declaration of Emergency on March 12, 2020, in response to COVID-19, and in effect at the time of the public hearing, will be followed. 

Oral testimony will be accepted during the hearing. Written testimony will be accepted until Monday, November 2, 2020, and may be mailed to the Nevada Division of Water Resources at the above address.

The public is encouraged to read the proposed orders. A Public Notice of Hearing will be published in the legal section once per week for the weeks of September 14, 2020, and September 21, 2020, of the Lovelock Review Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Pershing County; and the Lahontan Valley News, a newspaper of general circulation in Churchill County.
