NDOR Welcomes Kaden Barmore as New Leader of Nevada OHV Program

The Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation (NDOR) is proud to announce that Kaden Barmore has been selected to manage the Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV) Program.

“Kaden brings amazing passion and dedication to the diverse landscape of the Nevada OHV Program and will be an incredible asset to help grow the OHV mission while elevating its brand within the state,” said Denise Beronio, Administrator for NDOR. “Kaden is everything we could have hoped for in filling this position, which requires a deep knowledge for promoting safe and responsible OHV use, along with an understanding of the reciprocal process between DMV registrations and grant funding opportunities. Kaden’s previous experience within the NVOHV program along with his expertise in trails is truly the perfect fit!”

Growing up in Reno, Kaden graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2018. From there he moved to Flagstaff AZ to attend the National Park Service Law Enforcement Academy. Realizing that he was more interested in conservation than law enforcemQent, Kaden moved back to Reno and began work as a recreation technician for the Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles Program. During his time with Nevada OHV, Kaden found a deep appreciation for outdoor recreation in Nevada. This appreciation led to positions with the Tahoe Rim Trail Association and Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful. In 2023 Kaden graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Masters in Natural and Cultural Resource Communication.

When not in the office, Kaden can be found somewhere in the backcountry, exploring the backroads of Nevada, hiking, or mountain biking. During the colder months he is skiing and snowshoeing in the Sierras.

The Nevada Off-Highway Vehicle Program includes the registration of Off-Highway Vehicles in Nevada: ATVs; side-by-sides; dirt bikes; snowmobiles; dune buggies; and homemade OHVs. The Nevada Off-Highway Vehicle Program provides grants to fund OHV-related projects throughout the state, including trail improvements, mapping, signage, education, safety training, restoration, and other projects.

The Nevada Off-Highway Vehicle Program is managed by the State of Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and overseen by the Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles.
