Outdoor Education Advisory Working Group

The AWG is studying ways to integrate outdoor education and recreation into the PreK-12 public school system. The group will be reporting our final recommendations to the state legislature and may also submit a bill draft request (BDR) for the 2025 legislative session. We are looking for public and stakeholder feedback on our outdoor education ideas to inform our report to the legislature and our concept for a BDR. The findings of this survey will be considered in that process. The survey is open to teachers, school administrators, nature educators, parents, students, and community members. As a thank you for participation, you can opt to be entered into a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card! Take the survey here

At the conclusion of their work, the AWG may propose one bill draft request for consideration during the 2025 legislative session.
