$1,000,000 in Grant Funding Available for Off-Highway Vehicle Projects

OHV Riders

The Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles Program is inviting applicants for its annual grant cycle, which offers approximately one million dollars in funding to support projects that strengthen and enhance OHV recreation throughout the state.

Application information and materials are available at https://ohv.nv.gov/grant-program. Applications must be submitted by May 17, 2026.

Each year, the Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles invests in projects that help riders explore Nevada’s vast trail systems safely and responsibly. The program is funded entirely by OHV registration fees, and it supports a wide range of efforts including trail planning, maintenance, land acquisition, mapping, signage, law enforcement, education, safety training, and conservation. Last year’s grant recipients across Nevada are already putting this funding to work in meaningful ways. Mineral County received support for new trailhead infrastructure. The Pine Nut Mountain Trails Association expanded its educational programming. Storey County law enforcement acquired new equipment to better serve OHV users. These projects demonstrate how the program strengthens outdoor recreation and supports communities across Nevada.

This grant is open to all eligible applicants, including OHV clubs, non-profit organizations, state/federal agencies, and Native American tribal governments. To help shape the future of OHV recreation in Nevada, visit ohv.nv.gov or contact Kaden Barmore at 775-684-2794 or kbarmore@ohv.nv.gov.
