$900,000 in grant funding now available for Off-Highway Vehicle projects throughout Nevada
Today’s registration dollars create tomorrow’s outdoor adventures!
Nevada is an off-road enthusiast’s paradise featuring amazing adventures waiting to be discovered. As part of its mission to support outstanding recreational opportunities for all, the Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles Program (NOHVP) is excited to announce that approximately $900,000 in grant funding is available for off-highway vehicle (OHV) projects in Nevada. The application and instructions are available online at https://ohv.nv.gov/grant-program. Applications are due by November 12, 2019, and the Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles will award the OHV grants in December 2019.
Every year, the Nevada Commission on Off-Highway Vehicles supports statewide OHV-related initiatives that provide an opportunity to have safe and memorable outdoor experiences on Nevada’s miles of OHV trails. The grant fund is filled by Nevada’s OHV registration dollars and can be used for trail planning, maintenance, land acquisitions, mapping, signage, law enforcement, education, safety training, and resource conservation.
Previous OHV grant projects include the Logandale Trails restroom facilities, Nevada Outdoor School OHV education, Kokopelli Trail marking, Shoshone Trail, Peavine Mt improvements, the Nevada Trail Maps collaborative, and more.
