NDEP to host Public Meeting on the Former Anaconda Mine

Former Anaconda Copper Mine Site Cleanup

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) Bureau of Corrective Actions will hold a Public Meeting on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the City of Yerington, James Sanford Community Center, 14 East Goldfield Avenue, Yerington, Nevada.
The meeting will consist of an open-format presentation allowing attendees to view informational posters, photographs, video of site activities over the past year, and displays showing future activities required for the final phase of cleanup at the site. NDEP and other site-related personnel will be available during the public meeting to answer questions.
Interested members of the public may view site documents on the NDEP Anaconda SharePoint site using the instructions provided below. No special authorizations or registration is needed.
Step 1: Click the web link below:

Step 2: At the Anaconda-Site Documents web page, click the "NDEP Anaconda SharePoint site" link.
Step 3: It may ask you to “Pick An Account”, and, if so, then pick "Use another account". Alternatively, it may give you the “Microsoft Sign-In” pop up directly.
Step 4: At the “Microsoft Sign-In”, type: public@ndep-anaconda.com, then click “Next”.
Step 5: At “Enter Password”, type: C0pper12# (the second character is a zero, not a letter), then click “Sign-In”.
Step 6: You can “Stay signed in” or not, and “No” or “Yes” can be clicked.
The NDEP Anaconda Public Records page should now be visible. You can click on any of the documents for downloading. There is also a link to an SOP document for further detailed instructions. Members of the public are encouraged to check the NDEP Anaconda SharePoint site periodically to view uploaded official deliverables and other relevant site documents.
