Nevada Division of Water Resources Conducting Water Level Measurements
Nevada Division of Water Resources to Conduct Water Level Measurements in Wells Across the State Throughout March
CARSON CITY, Nev. – During the month of March, personnel from the Nevada Division of Water Resources will measure the depth to groundwater in irrigation and stock water wells across various regions of the state.
This annual endeavor is an integral part of the Division's ongoing commitment to evaluating and monitoring groundwater levels throughout Nevada. Some of the wells slated for measurement are relatively recent installations, while others have been routinely monitored for more than three decades, providing a rich dataset for analyzing long-term groundwater fluctuations. The information gathered through these yearly well assessments plays a crucial role in informing the public about groundwater trends and facilitating effective groundwater management practices.
