Nevada Division of Water Resources to measure well water levels this March

CARSON CITY, Nev. – This March, the Nevada Division of Water Resources (NDWR) will be measuring groundwater levels in irrigation and stock water wells throughout various regions across the State.

The data collection is part of an annual effort to assess and monitor hydrologic conditions throughout Nevada. While some of these are newer wells, others have been measured each year for over 30 years, providing extensive data on long-term changes in groundwater levels. The measurements collected through annual “well runs” provide critical information that helps NDWR analyze trends and manage the health of Nevada's water basins.
