Free Christmas tree recycling opportunities available throughout Nevada
Recycle your Christmas tree this holiday season and deliver your community a gift that keeps on giving! The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s Recycling Program is encouraging Nevadans to take advantage of free Christmas tree recycling opportunities available across the state as a simple, eco-friendly alternative to dumping trees in the landfill.
This holiday season, we saw an increase in Christmas tree purchases across the state. Each of these trees can be recycled and serve a second life benefiting and beautifying the environment around us. All recycled Christmas trees will be processed into mulch and used to complete a variety of park weed abatement projects. Mulch is also available for free to area residents at select locations.
