NDCNR welcomes Chad J. Stephens as new Deputy Director

The Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (NDCNR) is pleased to announce that Chad J. Stephens has been appointed to serve as Deputy Director of NDCNR. Stephens fills a vacancy in the Department that has been open since July 2022, and will help NDCNR continue its mission to protect, manage, and enhance Nevada’s natural, cultural, and recreational resources.

Stephens began his State service in 2004, and during that time, he managed a wide range of environmental compliance, conservation, and sustainability programs for the State of Nevada Office of the Military and the Nevada System of Higher Education. Stephens is a Certified Environmental Manager and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, holds a B.S. in Environmental and Natural Resource Science from the University of Nevada, and a M.P.H. from Tulane University.
