Notice of hearing on proposed order within the Smith and Mason Valley hydrographic basins

The Nevada Division of Water Resources will hold a public hearing on a proposed order within the Hydrographic Basins of Smith Valley and Mason Valley. The hearing is open to the public and will convene at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2020. Due to restrictions on the operation of State of Nevada office buildings and limitations on public gatherings established under the state of emergency declared by Governor Sisolak on March 12, 2020, the Nevada Division of Water Resources will conduct the hearing through a video conference link.

WHAT: Hearing on Proposed Order 

WHERE:  video conference link, available on the Division’s website http://water.nv.gov Pursuant to Governor Steve Sisolak’s Emergency Directive 006 and as extended by Emergency Directive 21, section 37, there will be no physical location for this hearing. The hearing can be viewed or listened to live over the Internet or through a telephone. Further, any person planning to participate in the hearing must participate either by using the videoconference link or teleconference number. 

WHEN: 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2020 

WHY: The public hearing will be held to provide notice and to take public comment on the proposed order to establish reporting requirements of meter installation and monthly meter readings in the Smith Valley Hydrographic Basin (107) and Mason Valley Hydrographic Basin (108), located in Douglas, Lyon, and Mineral Counties. The public is encouraged to read the proposed order at http://water.nv.gov or to contact the Nevada Division of Water Resources.  

COMMENT: Oral public comment will be accepted during the hearing. Written public comments will be accepted until Tuesday, July 7, 2020 and may be mailed to the Nevada Division of Water Resources at the above address.
